The Spanish Montessori Learning Centre (SMLC) is located at 1215 3 Ave S in Lethbridge, Alberta. As the first Spanish Immersion daycare program in the city, SMLC has been operating since September 15, 2008.

The center aims to provide a fun and educational environment where children can primarily be exposed to the Spanish language. SMLC offers a Montessori program as an alternative to traditional daycare, catering to children aged 12 months to 6 years. They follow the Montessori Philosophy and Methodology for toddlers and kindergarten (19 months to 6 years old). Infants (12 to 19 months) are provided a loving and safe space immersed mainly in the Spanish language.

SMLC offers various program options, including full-time and part-time, as well as before/after school care, to accommodate the unique needs of each family.

The center believes in the value of individual and self-directed learning. They strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore themselves, others, and the world around them.

The Montessori approach at SMLC emphasizes hands-on learning experiences that engage all five senses. Children are encouraged to participate in practical activities that promote the development of sensory, motor, emotional, language, social, and problem-solving skills.

The operating hours of the Spanish Montessori Learning Centre are Monday to Friday from 6:45 am to 5:30 pm.
