Creekside Creative Academy is dedicated to fostering capable and confident learners within a safe environment. We achieve this through academically rigorous and developmentally appropriate programming.

We understand the desire of parents to provide their children with a strong educational foundation, and as such, our focus at Creekside Creative Academy lies in low teacher-to-student ratios, focused curriculum delivery, unique outdoor learning experiences, and inclusivity for all. Our goal is to create an environment where each child is encouraged to learn and express their creativity in their own unique way.

Authentic learning experiences hold great value at Creekside Creative Academy, which draws inspiration from the Reggio-Emilia approach. We recognize that children possess their own strengths and potential, and it is our responsibility as educators to identify and nurture their growth and development along their individual continuum.

We strongly believe in the authenticity of learning through nature, and our academy places a significant emphasis on forest school principles. Students have daily opportunities to explore and learn in the outdoor forested areas both on and adjacent to our property. Our academy is an Accredited Funded Independent School recognized by Alberta Learning, with the objective of meeting and surpassing all student outcomes outlined by the Provincial Program of Studies. By utilizing the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum and GOLD Assessment Development and Learning continuum, we provide developmentally appropriate practices through hands-on and meaningful experiences. We seamlessly integrate content learning into daily explorations and activities, facilitating connections between prior knowledge and new learning.

At Creekside Creative Academy, we prioritize the holistic development of the whole child. Our curriculum encompasses the main developmental domains, including Language, Literacy, Mathematics, Social-Emotional, Physical, Cognitive, Science and Technology, Social Studies, and The Arts. We offer a wide range of opportunities and experiences both indoors and outdoors to engage our students.

Creekside Creative Academy offers programs for children in the following age groups:

• Junior Kindergarten: Ages 3 and 4
• Kindergarten: Ages 5 and 6
• Grades 1-6

Operating hours: Monday to Friday: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
