Building Blocks Childcare Centres

Welcome to Building Blocks Childcare Centres located at 2366 Southview Dr SE, Medicine Hat, AB. At Building Blocks, we believe in providing a nurturing and safe environment where children can develop creatively, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically to their full potential.

Our approach to childcare centers around an integrated learning approach, which combines structured and unstructured activities within a carefully designed learning environment. We encourage children to develop an 'Awareness of the World around Me,' which serves as our yearly theme. This theme is woven into our monthly themes and activities, providing children with knowledge about the world through stories, songs, art projects, music and movement, centers, field trips, different languages, cooking, and more.

We recognize that play is the work of children and an essential aspect of their well-being. Through structured and unstructured activities, we create a balance that promotes the development of social, emotional, creative, intellectual, and physical skills. Structured activities include circle time, art projects, snack time, gym activities, music time, library time, and pre-k time. Unstructured activities occur during center time (free play), open-ended art time, outdoor play on the playground, and occasionally in the gym.

Our dedicated teachers act as facilitators, nurturing children's natural love for learning and supporting their independence. They carefully design the learning environment to provide educational and age-appropriate activities. During center time, children are encouraged to make their own choices and work independently, fostering initiative and self-discovery.

We operate from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, providing flexibility to accommodate various schedules.
